Lorenzo
I’m software engineer with a background in audio engineering, partial to functional programming, mathematics and physics and distributed systems. I mainly use Rust these days, but am comfortable with several other languages.
Background
I began software development in 2017, translating my understanding of computer systems from audio engineering into software engineering. After completing the Full-Stack Web Development and Computer Science curriculum at BloomTech (formerly Lambda School), I served as a Team Lead and Section Lead. In those roles, I instructed peers in computer science fundamentals, backend architecture, algorithms, and technical interview preparation.
Following my tenure teaching, I spent two years publicly self-teaching mathematics and physics supported by academic grants. During this time, I published notes, hosted salons on mathematics, time in physics, and quantum computing, and discussed these topics on technical podcasts before returning heavily to programming and participating in the Recurse Center.
